Modoc County Behavioral Health is proud to announce the opening of our very own Transitional Age Youth Center on December 11th
What We Offer:
- A Safe and comfortable place to relax, hang out with friends and connect with mentors from our community. Daily snacks will be provided
- Groups related to cooking, health & wellness, girl’s group, boy’s group, co-ed healthy relationships, art, and more are offered in collaboration with our community partners
- Games and activities include a Nintendo Switch, Disney Plus, board games, card games, and outdoor activities during the warm months
- A computer, printer, internet services, and phone are available for youth. Amenities such as a shower, washer/dryer, free hygiene products, free clothing vouchers from TEACH, and free food and bottled water are coming soon
- Resources for youth such as a lending library, linkage to resources & support for college, linkages to health-related services, linkage to mental health and substance use education and support, and linkages to housing resources
- Transportation to/from the TAY Center with 24-hour notice by behavioral health staff
- Volunteer/Intern opportunities as a Youth Advisory Board Member
If you are a youth aged 14-24 in Modoc County looking for a place to relax, socialize, engage in activities, and access resources, come check us out Monday - Thursday 1:00 p.m. - 6 p.m. at the newly remodeled Railroad House between the Super 8 Motel and the Elks Lodge.
